I am so pleased to announce the launching of the San Geronimo Valley Planning Group’s website and hope you will use it often. We are a group of volunteers living in the San Geronimo Valley committed to preserving and protecting its natural habitat and rural environment for all of our Valley residents. We have been an organization for the past 38 years and our website is designed to carry out The San Geronimo Valley Planning Group’s objectives of implementing the San Geronimo Valley Community Plan.
We hope the design and content of our website will not only provide the current information needed to raise awareness and educate in order to meet the environmental challenges facing us today but capture the rich historical past of the San Geronimo Valley as well as the history we are creating day by day. And don’t miss the fun stuff!
The website will include our Newsletter which has become a much anticipated part of Valley resident’s routine reading. In addition, we have included the beginnings of the first Valley Environmental Resource Guide that will direct you to information about the realities of rural living, Valley plants and wildlife, endangered species, recreation opportunities on public open space and trails, sustainable land use, homeowner’s help and adopted documents that guide the Planning Group’s decisions as well as the regulation documents adopted by the County.
We invite you to email your photos of the San Geronimo Valley, your stories, your thoughts and ideas about furthering the enjoyment and use of our Valley, and any comments you want us to hear about. We also invite you to join us at our meetings held on the second Monday of every month at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center.
